Course Description: This online course is designed to provide medical students with a comprehensive understanding of the basic principles of the endocrine system. The course will cover the structure, function, and regulation of the endocrine glands, the hormones they produce, and their role in maintaining homeostasis in the body. The course will also delve into common endocrine disorders, their diagnosis, and treatment.

Duration: 8 weeks (Approximately 2-3 hours of study per week)

Week 5 - Adrenal Glands: Anatomy, hormones (corticosteroids, catecholamines), their functions, regulation, and disorders such as Addison’s disease and Cushing’s syndrome.
Week 6 - Pancreas: Anatomy, hormones (insulin, glucagon), their functions, regulation, and disorders such as diabetes mellitus.
Week 7 - Gonads: Anatomy, hormones of the testes and ovaries, their functions, regulation, and disorders such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and erectile dysfunction.
Week 8 - Review and Assessment: Review of key concepts, interactive discussions, and final assessment.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of this course, students will have a solid foundation in endocrinology, which will be crucial in their medical practice.
