تحدث هذه المتلازمه بسبب مهاجمه جهاز المناعه ل ال myelin sheath 

بعد نزله برد او نزله معويه ب اسبوع ل اسبوعين

بسبب تشابه الجزئيات المكونه للميكروب مع لاجزئيات المكونه ل ال 

myelin sheath

1. **Overview**:

   - GBS occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks the nerves and their protective myelin sheath.

   - It often follows a viral or bacterial infection.

   - Symptoms include muscle weakness, tingling, and sensory loss.

 

2. **Symptoms**:

   - Varying degrees of weakness or tingling in the legs and hands (usually ascending or descending).

   - Spread of weakness to the upper body.

   - Prickling sensations in fingers, toes, ankles, or wrists.

   - Inability to walk or climb stairs.

   - Loss of reflexes and difficulty controlling bowel/bladder functions.

 

3. **Causes**:

   - Exact cause unknown, but associated with autoimmunity.

   - Commonly linked to infections (e.g., campylobacter, influenza, Zika).

   - Rarely associated with vaccinations.

 

4. **Complications**:

   - Severe nerve pain, paralysis, and difficulty breathing.

   - High or low blood pressure, pneumonia, and bed sores.

   - Prompt treatment is crucial to prevent complications.

 

5. **Diagnosis**:

   - Clinical evaluation, nerve conduction studies, spinal tap, and electromyography.

   - Rule out other conditions.

 

6. **Treatment**:

   - No cure, but management focuses on symptom relief.

   - Options include IV immune globulin and plasma exchange.

   - Physical therapy helps regain movement.
