**Primary aldosteronism**, also known as **Conn's syndrome**, is a rare condition characterized by the overproduction of the hormone **aldosterone**. 

This hormone plays a crucial role in regulating sodium and potassium levels in the blood. When aldosterone production is excessive, 

it can lead to high blood pressure (**hypertension**) and, in some cases, low potassium levels (**hypokalemia**). 

The adrenal glands, located on top of each kidney, are responsible for producing aldosterone. 

Primary aldosteronism can result from benign tumors (**aldosterone-producing adenomas**) in one or both adrenal glands. 

Rarely, it may be caused by inherited disorders or even cancerous tumors. Symptoms include excessive thirst, 

fatigue, frequent urination, headaches, muscle cramps, visual disturbances, weakness,

 and tingling. Treatment involves medications, lifestyle changes, and, in certain cases, surgery to manage blood pressure and potassium levels⊃1;⊃2;⊃3;.
