Dr. Ghattas is a Project Management Professional (PMP®) and academic with over 25 years of international experience in geospatial science, spatial planning, and sustainable urban development across Egypt and Germany. She holds a PhD in Spatial and Environmental Planning from RPTU Kaiserslautern, Germany, awarded summa cum laude, along with a Master's degree in Architecture and Spatial Planning from Assiut University, Egypt. Her research and professional practice have focused on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), planning support systems, smart city applications, and sustainability-driven land management. Dr. Ghattas has held senior positions in both government and private sectors, including Senior Spatial Planning Projects Manager at Egypt's General Organization for Physical Planning and Senior Urban & Regional Planner at Albert Speer + Partner as well as QA Manager in GIS soluations and supporting the development of new GIS applications in Germany. She has authored and presented peer-reviewed research in Germany, Austria, the United States, and Egypt, and possesses advanced technical expertise in ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, AI Tools, and Microsoft Power Platform tools. She is fluent in Arabic, English, and German
