(Foundations of Medicine)

1. Introduction to Medicine

   • History of medicine and professional ethics

   • Basics of patient care and communication skills

2. Human Anatomy I

   • Introduction to anatomical terminology

   • Skeletal and muscular systems

   • Nervous system anatomy (brain and spinal cord)

   • Cadaveric studies (if applicable online: virtual dissection simulations)

3. Physiology I

   • Cell biology and homeostasis

   • Cardiovascular system basics

   • Respiratory system functions

4. Biochemistry

   • Chemical foundations of life (macromolecules: carbohydrates, proteins, lipids)

   • Enzymes and metabolic pathways

   • Introduction to medical genetics and molecular biology

5. Medical Terminology

   • Understanding prefixes, suffixes, and root words in medical language

   • Basic medical abbreviations and notations
     
     

     2nd Semester (Clinical and Cellular Foundations)

     1. Human Anatomy II

        • Digestive, endocrine, and urinary systems

        • Lymphatic and immune systems

        • Reproductive systems and development

     2. Physiology II

        • Nervous system functioning (synapses, reflexes, and neural networks)
